BEPCWO Celebrates Anniversary At Abraka
The Benin Ecclesiastical Province of the Catholic Women Organization, (BEPCWO) has recently celebrated their 18th anniversary at Abraka, Delta State.

Delivering his homily at the Eucharistic celebration, Rev. Fr. (Dr.) Mark Ikeke who congratulated BEPCWO members on their 18th anniversary, noted that Mother Mary's Aparition in Lordes to Benedicta has become an important feast in the city of Lordes, stressing that with the help of Mother Mary, the life of the little girl became transformed as well as the city of Lordes which he added is now a pilgrimage site.

He assured all present that with the intercession of Mother Mary, their lives would be transformed just as the little Benedicta of Lordes and prayed God to continue to bless them as they celebrate their 18th year anniversary.

Highpoint of the mass was a thanksgiving procession by all dioceses and Archdiocese present as they danced joyfully to the altar in appreciation to God for His blessings and protection.

The Benin Ecclesiastical Province comprise the Catholic Diocese of Auchi, Uromi, Warri, Issele-Uku, Bomadi Vicarate and Archdiocese of Benin

Meanwhile, patroness and grand patrons of the province were decorated with medals and plaques. They were Queen Mother Victoria Ikechukwu, Chief (Mrs) Hetty Ajuebor Egbarin J.P., Mrs Monica Kirremu Orewa, Chief P.I. Omokaro J.P., Mr Abulemeh Joseph, Dr. Philip Ogiamagbo Iledjere (KSM), Dr. Michael Nwakedi Ezieke and Morris Afrokah Ozeke (KSJ). Others were Barr. (Mrs) Lucy I. Omagbon, Lady Dora I., Mrs Cecilia Nelson A., (Auchi Diocese) Chief Mrs Victoria Idegu (JP) (Auchi Diocese) and Chief Mary-Anne Okoro among others.

Speaking at the reception, the chairperson of the occasion Prof. (Mrs) Rose Iziza who welcomed members to the occasion, appreciated God for making the celebration possible and called on all present for assistance to enable them complete their ongoing project.

On her part, the CWO Provincial President Mrs Enahoro C.O. who also appreciated all present, enjoined them to contribute generously to enable them move the activities of the provincial CWO forward and urged them to continue in their good work towards improving the province.

Earlier in a lecture delivered by Rev. Fr. (Dr.) Mark Ikeke titled “Be Courageous in Your Faith”, he described faith as an assurance of things that are yet to come and urged them to hold steadfast their faith in Christ Jesus who is the author and the finisher of their faith and prayed God to continue to bless them as they celebrate their anniversary.

Guests were entertained by members of Sacred Heart Women with cultural display.
